Louis Vuitton has done it again; Pharrell x LV

Pharrell Williams has been named the next Creative Director of Louis Vuitton.

The newly announced collaboration is inspiring as Pharrell Williams returns to Louis Vuitton after collaborating with them in 2004 and 2008. Williams's first collection will be debuting during Men's Fashion Week in June. The previous creative director was Virgil Abloh, who passed away in November 2021. He made history as he was the first African American to be named creative director of Louis Vuitton. To see Louis Vuitton embracing yet another iconic African American visionary is impressive.

The Grammy award winner, business owner, and creative has been an influential pillar in the black community as he was instrumental in introducing streetwear in a new light; known for his slimmer cut jeans, trucker hats, and bathing ape Williams changed fashion as we know it, and is still inspiring today.

Williams will get the job done because he is familiar with fashion. Williams co-founded the streetwear label Billionaire Boys Club, founded Human Race, a skin-care and apparel line partnered with Adidas and collaborated with many well-known brands such as Tiffany & Co. and Moncler.

However, fashion is not Williams's only realm; he has his hands in many different creative projects, including releasing a portable cutlery set. He is a former judge on The Voice and an active philosophist who is building a new development in his hometown, Virginia. The Virginia native also started the music festival Something in the Water, which will take place in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on April 28th- 30th this year.

Congratulations are for Pharrell Williams as he embarks on this new journey. Everyone is excited to see how Williams continues to utilize his creativity to create astonishing work.
